Mr Chris Chapman

Chris has demonstrated executive management experience in both the private and public sectors in Queensland and New South Wales.

He is presently the Acting General Manager of Coffs Harbour City Council, with his substantive role ordinarily being Director of Sustainable Communities. He emphasises providing strategic focus by ensuring that long term planning informs the delivery of services that meet current economic, environmental and social needs. He is also the Chair of Destination Coffs Coast, the peak tourism industry body in the region.

His previous role was as the General Manager of Wakool Shire Council where he led a demanding and diverse service delivery organisation through a significant period of change, largely associated with government health service and water reform. His most recent private sector experience was with Conics (Brisbane) where he was the Manager for both the Planning and Urban Design business units.

He has also held a senior executive role with Brisbane City Council where he was the Manager of Development Assessment. He has also held other leadership roles within Brisbane City Council as well Connell Wagner (Queensland), Logan City Council and Pittwater Council.
