  • Coalition: $1 billion for regional road and rail network, including $400m for Fixing Local Roads, $300m for Fast-Tracking Freight to address pinch points in the road network and $300m for Build Back Better program to invest in more resilient road and transport infrastructure. Introduce a new program to help councils fix potholes.

    Labor: Create a new Emergency Road Repair Fund worth $670 million over 2 years to repair regional roads. Introduce a weekly $60 toll cap for toll roads, invest in new trains to be built in NSW, ending privatisation of public assets and establishing a taskforce to improve bus services across NSW.

  • Coalition: $174 million for more housing for new houses for teachers, housing, police in the regions. Rezoning Pathways Program to rezone sites in priority locations and the Unblocking Homes to help councils progress planning applications. Introduction of a First Home Buyer Choice program that offers a choice between an annual property payment or stamp duty concessions.

    Labor: Abolish stamp duty for first home buyers up to the value of $800,000, appointing a Rental Commissioner, banning rent bidding, allowing pets in rentals and introducing a rental bond scheme that allows tenants to transfer bonds from one property to another.

  • Coalition: Introducing 120,000 fee-free TAFE places, and creating dedicated Regional Job Precincts to facilitate investment and job creation.

    Labor: Establishing the NSW Jobs First Commission and setting local content targets for tenders, creating TAFE Domestic Manufacturing Centres of Excellence and establishing a Charter for Small Business and NSW Business Bureau to support small business.

  • Coalition: Committing to net zero by 2050, using the Renewable Energy Roadmap and the Waratah Super Battery to plan for a long term reliable energy supply. Supporting a new green hydrogen industry for NSW with hubs in the Illawarra and Hunger regions.

    Labor: Create a NSW Energy Security Corporation to accelerate investment in renewable energy assets, build community batteries, legislate a carbon reduction of net zero by 2050 including establishing a Net Zero Commission to monitor and review progress.

  • Coalition: $90 million for the Stronger Communities Fund for grassroots infrastructure projects in regional NSW, $1.5 million for Regional Event Fund

    Labor: $9 million to support regional and community media. Launching a plan for country music in NSW including the state’s first Regional Music Census. Increasing funding for Sport NSW and state sporting associations.

  • Coalition: $50 million to build 56 new and co-located fixed wireless towers to boost internet services.

    Labor: Unstated.
