Cr Paul Amos, Mayor of Coffs Harbour City Council

Paul Amos was born and bred in Coffs Harbour and was elected Mayor in December 2021 after a five year term as a Councillor and one year term as Deputy Mayor. 

Paul’s community involvement spans over four decades working in the areas of tourism, jetty foreshores stewardship and with local community organisations. He has been a long-time supporter of surf lifesaving, local sports clubs, the Life Education Triathlon, Coffs Running Festival, Ocean Swim and Coffs Harbour Show.

Paul’s professional background is in business with qualifications in business, mediation and negotiation and he has managed the family-run Bailey centre mixed retail business for over thirty years. Paul’s wife Rose has been a teacher at Narranga Primary School throughout this time and they have two children and two granddaughters who also live locally.
