Cr Matthew Dickerson

Mathew was elected to Council in 2004 and served as Dubbo City Council Mayor from 2011 through to the amalgamations in 2016. Mathew once again stood for election in 2021 and was elected to Dubbo Regional Council where he currently serves as Mayor.

Mathew is known for an attitude of innovation and open communication. He created the Community Leaders’ Breakfasts; the Mayoral Developers’ Forums and the ASX200 CEO Series. He raised over half a million dollars with Tour de OROC and as Chairman of Evocities, organised the Evocities MTB Series.

Mathew has started six successful businesses that have racked up 24 major business awards; he has written four books; has a technology column in 142 newspapers; technology segments on nine different radio stations and a weekly technology podcast.

Mathew is married with four children; is an active member of Mensa; races mountain bikes and thinks he is a poet.
