Mr Jeff Smith

Jeff joined Maitland City Council as its General Manager in 2023. Prior to joining Maitland City Council, he held senior management positions across the private and public sector for over twenty years, including Director roles at Port Stephens, Randwick and Northern Beaches Councils.

He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle and holds accreditation as both a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Jeff has a passion for local government, leading high performing teams, and delivering outstanding services and infrastructure for the community. His goal is to see Maitland continue to enhance its reputation as a vibrant place to live, work and visit.
