Cr Peter Walker

Peter Walker was re-elected to Goulburn Mulwaree Council for a second term in 2021. First elected in 2016, Peter has served as Deputy Mayor since 2018. He was elected Mayor in January 2022.

His priorities for this term of Council are provision of a new Community Centre, 2ndaccess to Run-O-Waters, and seeing a number of key projects to completion including Goulburn Performing Arts Centre, the regional Hockey Complex and relocation of Riding for the Disabled.

During his time on Council he has participated in the traffic committee, the Goulburn Recreation Area committee, Liquor Accord and as Council representative on SEATS among other committees and working parties.

Throughout his career Peter has worked in the banking industry, as CEO of the Goulburn Workers Club, Manager of Goulburn Sand and Soil and served as President of the Challenge Foundation Goulburn as well as on the board of Endeavour Industries.

Peter is a fan of cricket, AFL and Rugby League, and a passionate South Sydney Rabbitohs supporter. He has lived in the community for 18 years with his wife Cath, and son Tom.
