Mr Steve McGrath

Steve McGrath commenced as the Interim CEO for AlburyCity on 10 February 2026. Steve brings over 37 years of senior leadership expertise within local government, including an impressive 32 years as General Manager (CEO). His recent appointments feature more than 11 years at the helm of Coffs Harbour City and 2 years as Interim General Manager, where he played a pivotal role in steering Cootamundra-Gundagai through the complexities of demerger preparation. Steve has also contributed at the board level, in the past, for a number of non-profits and currently serving as a director for several commercial companies and chairing one, further enhancing his breadth of governance and strategic insight.

Throughout his career, Steve has embraced a wide range of opportunities and challenges. A significant aspect of his work has centred on organisational improvement, both from a transformational change and business improvement perspective. His approach consistently focuses on implementing solutions that create a fulfilling workplace while delivering meaningful improvement outcomes for the wider community and/or shareholders.
