Mr Eber Burton

Eber Burton is the General Manager of Lismore City Council, leading a team of some 650 staff, managing a budget of $430M with a capital delivery program of $240+M. He has been in local government for over 30 years, with 20 years’ professional experience in executive management.

His experience spans over 4 states (South Australia, Queensland, Western Australia, and New South Wales) and across 12 Councils ranging in size, including Townsville, Fairfield, Gold Coast, Caboolture, Whitsunday and Lismore. With professional skills in planning, project management, and economic development, Eber’s career focus has been on facilitating sustainable economic growth. He is enjoying the challenge of transforming Lismore, delivering major projects, realising its economic prosperity, and creating a thriving, liveable regional community.
